Summer Adventures Program

Little Rock's Summer Adventures Program (SAP) operates on Wednesdays during the summer.  Children who will be in K--5 during the next school year may be dropped off at the church at 8 AM and picked up no later than 5:30 PM.  For a cost of $10 per week, children participate in games and other activities until time to leave for the trip of the day.  Trips include West Water Park in Kinston, nearby children's museums, trips to nearby State Historic Sites, bowling, roller skating, ice skating, and much, much more!  We typically bring our own lunches (provided by the child's parents) and eat at a park or the location of our trip.  Following our return to the church, children make crafts, watch movies, have a Bible lesson, play games, and eat snacks.  Our middle & high school students may apply to be student helpers with this program.  We rely on a large number of adult volunteers to staff program.  This program is also directed by Marci, our children & youth minister.  Those pre-registering by the due date pay a one-time registration fee of $5, while all other registrations need to be accompanied by a $10 registration fee.  All children and helpers receive a SAP t-shirt to wear on all our trips. The following are the main details of this program

  • Every Wednesday in July & August.
  • Pre-registration fee of $5 for those registering prior to the first Wednesday in July. Registration fee after the first Wednesday in July will be $10.
  • Minimal cost of $10.00 per session per child to cover all cost of the program. a. Special rate of $5.00 per child for households of 3 or more children enrolled! b. Special arrangements can be made for hardship cases (see Marci for details).
  • Event times are 8:00 AM till 5:00 PM.
  • A T-shirt with every enrollment!
  • Limited to 32 Elementary School age Children (Rising Kindergarten to Rising 5th Grade—Other Ages by approval ONLY)
